Grant Price, Jr. Obituary

Grant Daniel Price Jr., son of the late Mildred Pierce Foreman Price and Grant Daniel Price Sr. was born on Sunday, June 2, 1946 in Cordova, MD. He left this life at the age of 77, after a five year battle with cancer, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at UMD Shore Medical Center at Easton, surrounded by his three sisters.

“Junior” or “Uncle Junior”, as family and friends called him, was educated in the Talbot County Public School system. He served in the US Army from 1967 to 1969 and was honorably discharged. He was married to the former Betty Gibson and from this union they had one daughter, Kimberly. Although the marriage ended in a divorce, the relationship evolved into a lasting friendship. His second marriage was to the former Ida Kay Murray. This marriage ended in divorce.

Junior accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a member of St. Michaels Church of God in Christ in St. Michaels, MD. He served under the leadership of the late Elder Andrew L. Thurman. He later attended different churches, often with Betty and her husband, Elder Clarence Savoy. Junior served in the ministry of “helps” at home and in the community. He was good with his hands at fixing things. Sort of a “Jack of all trades master of none, though oftentimes better than master of one.” He loved to laugh and saw the humor in people who took things too seriously.
For over 60 years Junior did farm work. He was employed at Bell Farms owned by Gordon Brehens in Cordova, MD until he partially retired at the age of 65. He was always available for his friend/employer, Gordon, when needed to help out or just look after things when Gordon was away.

Left to mourn his passing, one daughter Kim Price Jefferson (Andre), one grandson, Andre Price Jefferson, two brothers, Daniel Foreman of Easton, MD, Charles Samuel Price (Gail) of Harrisburg, PA, three sisters, Florence Wilson of Cordova, MD, Theona Hall of Cambridge, MD, Gloria Keeling (John) of Queenstown, MD, sister in law, Joan Bowser of Cordova, MD, niece/caregiver, Lisa Wilson Spears, nephew/driver Tony Bowser, a host of other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, six brothers preceded him in death, Maurice Bowser, Richard Bowser Sr. (1997), James Foreman (2007), Ernest Pierce (2008), Larry Foreman (2013) William Foreman Jr. (2019).
Loved always. Sadly missed.
