George Herbert Dashiell Jr. peacefully departed this life on December 31, 2022, at the age of 59 in Newark, DE.

Herbie, as he was affectionately known, was the eldest child of the late George Herbert Dashiell Sr., and Shirley Lillie Mae Dashiell.

Herbie received his education in the Talbot County public school system. He was a tenured and dedicated employee of Delmarva Power until his retirement.

Herbie was a loving and devoted husband and father to his late wife, Carol Ingram-Dashiell and his daughter Arielle. Herbie was a kind soul and a loyal sports fan who enjoyed rooting for his favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens. He and his late wife, Carol, spent much of their time together, traveling, going on cruises, and taking spontaneous road trips. Since his youth, Herbie was intrigued by discovering rare coins and he evolved into an avid coin collector which carried over into adulthood.

Herbie leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Arielle Dendorfer; one stepdaughter, Janae Howard (Anthony), three step-grandchildren; Aubrey, Crystal, and Anthony Jr., four sisters; Tamela Dashiell, Angela Dashiell, Linda Dashiell, and Sherry Dashiell, two brothers; Gary Dashiell (Patricia) and Steven Dashiell, one paternal aunt, Della Mae Teagle, devoted cousin, Diane Lewis, life-long friend, Nolie Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
