Garry Lamont Butler

Garry Lamont Butler 66 of Hurlock, MD departed his life on November 29, 2023 at Tidal Health Nanticoke Seaford Delaware. Garry was the son of Franklin and Mable Butler.

Garry received his education in Dorchester County school system. He worked various jobs but at the time of his death he was employed at H&M Bay in Federalsburg MD. He was also known to many as Hula. He loved sports, his favorite football team was the Philadelphia Eagles and his favorite basketball team was Boston Celtics. Garry was the neighborhood grass cutter for many in his community. He was a good friend to many but he was a special uncle to his nieces and nephews. He had a special group of friends that he would always hang with in the back yard. Garry loved his family and his friends.

Garry leaves to cherish loving memories with his loving daughter, Tawanda (James) Redding of Hebron, MD, special son, Phillip Dockins of Hurlock, MD,  brother, William (Cassie) Butler of Preston, MD, sisters, Wanda Banks and Beverly Butler both of Hurlock, MD, grandchildren; Johnny Lamont Kane, A’myri Stanley, Tavon Lyons Jr., great grandchildren, J’hnel-Rose Kane, Harper Kane and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Mable Butler, paternal grandparents, John and Lola Butler, maternal grandparents, Roland and Emma Strawberry, sister, Barbara (Levin) Parker, brother, Ellsworth (Teresa) Butler and granddaughter, Jih’nae Lamaya-Inez.
