Franklin Lee Tilghman, Jr. of Tampa, Florida rejoined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 24, 2025, at the age of 55 after a long battle with cancer. Franklin, affectionately known as “Frankie” is survived by his God-daughters; Erika M. Elias, Sasha R. Seiss both of Tampa, Florida and Samantha “Sami” North of Easton, Maryland; his parents, Franklin “Sonny” Tilghman, Sr. and Mona Harris Tilghman of Longwoods, Maryland; siblings; Calvin Tilghman, Sr. of Denton, Maryland, sister-in-law, Passion Bolden Tilghman of Denton, Maryland, Tracy Tilghman Truxon and brother-in-law, Trushun Truxon of Centreville, Maryland, Penny Tilghman of Annapolis, Maryland and Chelsey Hamilton of Tampa, Florida. Frankie is also survived by nephews; Trevon Faulk and Calvin Tilghman, Jr. and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.
The Tilghman family would like to extend deepest appreciation to the Hula Bay family; Hilary Purtz and Jamie Turner for their unwavering compassion and support.
A Memorial service will be held in Federalsburg, Maryland on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Bolden-Tilghman Mortuary before Frankie is laid to rest at the Richards Memorial Park Cemetery in Easton, Maryland, where his grandmother, Daisy Gibson, great uncle, John “Leon” Tilghman, among other family members are resting.
The viewing is scheduled from 11am-12pm, followed by the Memorial service from 12pm-1pm. Flowers and expressions of sympathy can be sent to Bolden-Tilghman Mortuary Service at 311 South Main Street, Federalsburg, Maryland 21632.
