Evane Felix Augustin, 76, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and "quiet strength."
Evane was born on November 4, 1949, in Aquin, Haiti, to the late Thérèse Pierre and Lysias Felix. After completing her studies with the Sisters in Aquin, she dedicated her life to the service of others as a distinguished educator. She shaped the minds of countless students across the departments of Sud, Nippes, and Grand’Anse, and her tenure in St. Michel du Sud is still remembered fondly for her generosity and vision.
Known for her "silent love," Evane had a rare quality of helping those in need without seeking recognition or praise. Since moving to Maryland, she remained a spiritual and emotional guide for her family. A woman of profound faith, she faced her final challenges with unwavering peace, trusting in the promise of eternal life.
Evane is lovingly remembered by her children: Marie-Joel Veillard, Henry- Claude Fevry, and Natacha Fevry, cherished grandchildren: Gary Fevry; Gregory Fevry; and Malika Fevry, nieces and nephews: Jean Rodrigue Félix; Rev. Pasteur Wilkens Cétoute and family; Kilene Cétoute and family; Jean Eddy Félix; Jean Mary Cétoute and family; Alline Cétoute; Odette Cétoute; Wilson Félix; Valory Félix; and Steve Félix, cousins and extended members of the Félix, Cétoute, Fevry, Veillard, and Jean Charles families.
