Edwin Cecil Wilmer

Edwin Cecil Wilmer passed away on February 24,2020 at the Talbot
Hospice House, he was 81. Born on May 8, 1938, to the late Charles Sr
and Emma Holland Wilmer.
Edwin attended Lockerman High School in Denton, MD. He worked
at Ellis Concrete in Federalsburg, MD for 35 years until their closing. He
then worked at Wyoming Concrete until his retirement.
Edwin enjoyed watching old westerns, especially The Long Ranger.
He loved to go fishing with his sons. He loved the home cooked meals
from his wife. He was an avid fan of the Raiders & Orioles , always calling
his sister to find out what time the game was coming on.
Edwin married Darlene Wilkins in 1959. They were married for 61
years. From this union are four children, Wallace (Monica)Wilmer of
Denton,MD; Tyrone (Rosalind) Wilmer of Federalsburg,MD; Hardenia
(Michael) Potter of Preston, MD; Eric (Cyndi) Wilmer of Seaford,DE; 13
grandchildren ; 7 great-grandchildren; three sisters; Catherine Irene
Lofland of Dover, DE, Frances Alston of Philadephia, PA, and Margaret
Manning of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Wendell Wilmer Sr (Rosie) of
Denton, MD; Sisters in law: Bernice (James) Wilson, Brendette Wilkins all
of Easton; Roselee Wilkins, Elizabeth (Ronald) Nichols all of Preston, MD;
Brothers in law: Isaac Copper( Christine), Charles Wilkins all of Easton;
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents Charles,Sr. and Emma
Wilmer, his brothers, Robert Wilmer, Charles Wilmer, Jr. and Norris
Wilmer; his sisters Elizabeth Prater and Hardenia Tolliver; brother in law
James Wilkins Jr.
