With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Devin Rashad Flamer, Sr., who departed this life far too soon on July 12, 2025, at the age of 27 in Bridgeville, DE.
Born on May 30, 1998, Devin brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning. A true fighter in every sense, he was a dedicated boxer who carried his strength with grace, both in and out of the ring. Whether he was running in the streets he loved, grinding on a video game, or getting lost in a movie or book, Devin lived life with passion and purpose.
He graduated from Woodbridge High School in Greenwood, DE. He continued his education at Hofstra University, and Delaware Technical Community College and receiving his Associate's degree. Devin decided to further his studies and enrolled at the University of Delaware where he earned his Bachelors of Arts for Economics.
Devin worked as a dedicated Banker at Citizens Bank in Milford, DE.
Devin enjoyed boxing and was undefeated in his craft. Devin holds the World Boxing Association championship belt. Devin believed in staying in shape. He was committed to his daily runs. His favorite route was through Bridgeville, DE. Devin enjoyed movies and he loved attending the theaters. He enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and listening to his favorite music group- Griselda.
Those who knew Devin will remember his contagious smile, his generous spirit, his ability to make everyone laugh. No one was a stranger to Devin, he had a way to make everyone feel like family. He had a rare ability to light up a room, to offer comfort others without words, and to turn even the smallest moment into something memorable.
Devin leaves behind his beloved fiancée, Jazmine Snell, and his cherished son, Devin Rashad Flamer, Jr., devoted parents, Louis Flamer and Crystal Neal, step-mother, Juliana Flamer, loving siblings, Daysha Flamer, Dreden Lake, and Wesley Flamer, step-brother, Max Zapata, his adored niece, Brooklyn Stull, bonus sister, Chanae Neal, and bonus niece, Laila Sampson. Devin’s love extended deeply to a wide circle of god-siblings, cousins, uncles, aunts, grandparents and friends, all of whom felt the warmth of his presence.
His departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on through the love he gave and the joy he brought to so many. Devin was a protector, a dreamer, and a friend to all.
Rest in power, Devin. You fought hard, loved harder, and left us with a legacy of strength, light, and unforgettable love.
