Delphine Warren Obituary

Delphine Bolden Warren, passed away on December 21, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old. She was born, September 1, 1941, in Dorchester County to the late Reva Eleanor Bolden and the late Reuben Henry Evans.

Delphine received her education in the Seaford Delaware school system. Delphine had several places of employment during her life including Mary Eliza Nursing Home, Cambridge House, Mallard Bay, and Chesapeake Woods where she retired with 47 years of nursing experience. After she retired, she continued to care for those that needed help, always lending a hand to those in need. She loved her family and would do anything to help them if she could. Delphine loved listening to music, dancing and going out to eat. Her favorite place to eat was Crackle Barrel, always leaving with a hand full of candy.

Delphine was a member of Rebirth Deliverance Ministries under the leadership of her granddaughter, Pastor Samiska Collins. She enjoyed singing and hearing the word of God. Always reminding others that, “God is good honey.”

Delphine was preceded in death by her parents, Reva Eleanor Bolden and Reuben Henry Evans, sisters; Shirley (David) Brummell and Parthenia (Charles) Lake; brothers; Julius Ricketts, Carmen Bolden, Wilbert Bolden, and Drexel (Addie) Bolden, brothers-in-law, Donald Brummell and Edward Batson.

Delphine leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Serena (Ralph) Carr, Hurlock, MD, grandchildren, Pastor Samiska Collins, Salisbury, MD and Severn Lee Collins Jr., Cambridge MD, great grandchildren, Ja’Han Manokey Jr., and Mikeendra Ringgold, Salisbury, MD, Severn Lee Collins, III, Taybriona Collins, Teónvion Collins and Destiny Stanton, Cambridge MD, great-great grandchildren; Ka Óir Manokey, Salisbury, MD, Ariona Allen, Richard Keene IV, Destined Saunders and Aria Collins, Cambridge, MD, sisters, Mary Batson and Imogene Bolden, Hurlock, MD, Florine Brummell and Gloria Batson, Federalsburg, MD, sister-in-law, Arlette Bolden, Cambridge, MD, special nephew, that she called her son, Bradford Bolden Sr.,  Easton, MD, special niece, Overseer Urshell Chase, Hurlock, MD, longtime friend, Shirley Woolford and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
