Deborah Ann Wharton

Deborah Ann Wharton, 68, of Easton, MD, passed away on January 17, 2023  at home with her family after a courageous fight against cancer.

Debbie was born to the late Robert and Lorain Clough of Price, MD.  She was a 1972 graduate from North Caroline High School in Ridgely, MD.

During Debbie’s life she used to love to ride horses and show them at the 4H park with her sisters and father.   She loved yearly visits to many amusement parks and her all time favorite was Frontier Town in Ocean City, MD.  Debbie also enjoyed the Sunday family trips to get ice cream from Double Dip.  

Over the last 13 years Debbies heart was filled with love and joy for her granddaughters Keira and Jaina.   Spending time with Keira and Jaina was very important to Debbie.  This past summer Debbie was able to go on many adventures with her granddaughters including her favorite place Frontier Town.

Debbie is survived by her husband, David Wharton, two sons she raised; Theodore (T.R.) Russum of Trappe, MD and Shane Wharton of Easton, MD,  the lights of her life, granddaughters, Keira and Jaina Wharton, two brothers and two sisters, Keith Clough of Pottstown, PA, Shelia Smith of Las Vegas, NV, Faith Christ (Henry) of Denton, MD and Scott Clough (Kriss) of East New Market, MD. 

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Lorain Clough.

Those who desire may make donations to Talbot Hospice in Easton, MD in the memory of Debbie.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
