Dawn Rachelle Brown was born on November 14, 1978 in Easton, MD to Robert L. Massey and Lois J. Massey. Dawn passed away at her home in Federalsburg, MD, she was 46 years old.
Dawn grew up in Marydel, MD and attended school at Greensboro Elementary in Greensboro, MD, Riverview Middle School in Denton, MD, and North Caroline High School in Ridgely, MD. On August 31, 2002, Dawn was joined in matrimony to David “Lamont” Brown, her best friend. Dawn lived in Barclay, MD, and later moved to Denton, MD, and then to Federalsburg, MD where she resided with her husband until her death. Dawn was a certified CNA and worked in various caregiver jobs down through the years. Dawn joined Community Baptist Church in Barclay, MD in 2006 under the leadership of Rev. William J. Ward Jr.
Dawn was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Lois Massey and one brother Ken Massey.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 22 years David “Lamont” Brown, one bonus son, Jeremy Brinkley (Springfield, MO), one brother, Robert “Robbie” Massey Jr. (Easton, MD), three sisters; Althea Massey (Denton, MD), Aleta Groce (Roger) (Greensboro, MD), Denise “Dee-Dee” Massey (Denton, MD), mother-in-law, Barbara Freeman and father-in-law, Simon Freeman (Federalsburg, MD), brother-in-law, Chilya “Chilli” Miller (Federalsburg, MD), bonus niece and nephew, Aliyah Miller, and Darius “Dar Dar” Miller (Federalsburg, MD) whom she loved and cared for as her own, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends, all of “Aunt Dawn’s babies” who she cared for and loved dearly including her “little” boyfriend, Little Tyler Usilton, as well as her best friends, Sharone Stansbury, Nicole Veale, and Jennifer Crumble and a host of other family and friends.
