Danisha Loretta Legette

Danisha Loretta Legette, 37, of Cambridge, Maryland, was called into eternal rest on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Coastal Hospice at The Lake in Salisbury, Maryland. Born March 16, 1988, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to the late Richard Bailey and Nina R. Legette, she received her education in Talbot County public schools, graduating in 2006. After graduation, she attended Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware, and later furthered her education at Chesapeake College, becoming a Certified Medical Assistant. Throughout her employment, no job was too great or too small. Danisha did it all, from food service to administration, with her last position being at UMSRH Diagnostic and Imaging Center as Facility Admissions Coordinator, until her health began to decline. Danisha loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church Easton, Maryland, under the leadership of Pastor Demetrius Price. She loved her family and friends and made spending time with them a priority. She would often arrange game nights, birthday parties, and trips. Shopping was her favorite pastime, even in her final days. She had packages arriving almost daily. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: stepfather, Dwayne A. Lovett of Salisbury, MD; children, D’Sani Bridges, Jaxon Banks, and Elijah Sharp; siblings, Tim Legette of Chester, PA, Shanina Legette of Cambridge, MD, Dennis Hardy Jr. (LaKishia) of Cambridge, MD, Jermere Jones of Chester, PA, Jahnira Dickerson (Brion) of Wilmington, DE, Rashieta Winters of Philadelphia, PA, Richard Bailey (Ebony) of Upper Darby, PA, and Tynice Deshields (Vernon) of Ridgely, MD; two godsisters, Chanel Thomas of Wilmington, DE, and Kaneesha Thomas of Chester, PA; one godbrother, Eric Thomas of Chester, PA; two goddaughters, Tanyha Murray and Alayia Thomas; two great-aunts, Carrie Snead of Oxford, MD, and Mary Willis of Chester, PA; one great-uncle, Michael Whittington (Karen) of Bloomsburg, PA; aunts, Paula Taylor (Brian) of East New Market, MD, Michelle Goldsborough and Brenda Ross, both of Chester, PA, and Georgette Beuford of PA; uncles, Vincent Nixon (Tanya) of Hurlock, MD, Mitchell Starkey (Jeanette) of Easton, MD, Tyrone Ross of Chester, PA, and Matthew Carter of Easton, MD; step-grandparents, Debbie Nixon of NC, and Bobby Blake (Juanita) of Easton, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Bailey; mother, Nina Lovett; sister, Denise Hardy; grandfather, Roland Nixon; grandmother, Brenda Ross; great-grandmother, Roberta Starkey; and niece, Cevyn Dawson.
