Christine (Aldridge) Simms

Christine Aldridge, affectionately known as “Tiney,” departed this life on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born to the late Melvin E. Aldridge and Josephine Newcomb Aldridge on October 26, 1959. She was 65 years of age.

Christine graduated from North Dorchester High School, Class of 1977. She worked at Airpax in Cambridge, MD, for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo, coloring, shopping, and crocheting. She also had a love for Jesus! She was a member of Denton Holiness Church, where she was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ on December 26, 2021.

Christine is survived by one brother, Jerome Aldridge of Baltimore, MD; five sisters: Rosemary Green and Brenda Aldridge of Federalsburg, MD, Margaret Jones, Olethea Aldridge, and Lavern Simms (Vincent Simms) of Hurlock, MD. She also leaves behind a special niece and caregiver, Genelle Collins, whom she lovingly called her daughter, one sister-in-law, Arlene Aldridge, one aunt, Amanda Conway, special niece, Sebrina Green, and nephew, Steven Aldridge, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by one sister: Delorse Aldridge, three brothers, Charles Aldridge Sr., Melvin Aldridge Jr., and Robert Aldridge.
