In Loving Memory of our beloved, CHARMAYNE K BROWN

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of CHARMAYNE K BROWN on MARCH 1, 2025. She was 47years old.

Charmayne began her life on July 23, 1977. Charmayne enjoyed cooking for her daughter, Tiyerra and her friends. Some of her other hobbies included listening to music, dancing, swimming and reading. Of all hobbies and interests, her favorite was spending time with her beloved grandson, Mecca.  She was funny, kindhearted, and empathetic.  She was a very active and non-judgmental listener. People always felt accepted despite who they were or their life’s experiences.

Charmayne is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elwood Friend and Estella Nichols and her maternal grandfather, Peter H. Brown.

Charmayne graduated from Oceanside High School in Oceanside, CA.  She went on to attend Dudley Beauty Academy, Durham, NC.  Charmayne worked in the food industry for several years.

Charmayne leaves to celebrate her life and precious memories, daughter, Tiyerra Brown (Tevis), the love of her life, grandson, Mecca Rue and expected granddaughter, Edynn, father, Charles Lawson, mother, Rose Lawson, grandmother, Mary M. Brown, sister, Iyana Johnson and her special brother-in-law (Johnny), sister, Shanette Lawson, brother, Charles Lawson II, a sister/cousin, April McDowell, a favorite nephew, Zaiyre Lake, and a favorite niece, Janae Johnson, a special aunt, Josie Craft, and her aunt Darlene Haynes, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family and friends. 

The family would like to provide a special acknowledgement to her caring Physician, Dr. Anisha Hinduja, MD.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Rest in peace, our dearest Charmayne. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.

A memorial/reception service is scheduled for March 22, 2025, at the International House of Worship, 26321 Williamsburg Rd, Federalsburg, MD at 11 am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charmayne’s life.
