Charity Ferguson Obituary

Charity Nicole Brown-Ferguson, 39, of Hurlock, MD, departed this life to be with the Lord on February 16, 2025. She was born to Rosetta V. Brown and the late David J. Brown Jr. on July 11, 1985.

In 2003, Charity graduated from North Dorchester High in Hurlock, MD as an Honor student. She later attended Trinity University in Washington, DC where she graduated in 2007 receiving a B.A. in Business Economics. It was at Trinity University where Charity met her sidekick, TyNita and their lifelong friendship turned into a sisterly bond. Playing games and laughing until they would fall asleep the two would forge business plans, vacations, or just go back and forth with a Walmart outing.  

Charity served this earthy Kingdom as a devoted member of Mission Hill Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Hurlock, MD under the leadership of Apostle John W. Mosley Sr. She was baptized in the precious Name of Jesus; filled with the Holy Ghost. She served faithfully as a praise and worship leader, choir director, treasurer and member of Daughters of Zion.

Charity married the love of her life, Theodore Ferguson III, on July 14, 2007. Charity was adorn with a sense of pride to be a wife and caregiver in her home.  Almost immediately “Teddie” was family to everyone Charity introduced him to, however, to Charity he was always her “Theodore”. Some people go a lifetime without their own miracle. God truly blessed this union with not one but two miracle babies. Charity is known for her smile and that twinkle in her eyes. Her smile was a statement, and a firm declaration that she will not complain. She leaves in her seeds her legacy, her God given smile.

Charity Nicole Brown-Ferguson memories will forever be cherished by her husband, Theodore Ferguson III, grandfather, David J Brown Sr. (Judy) of Cambridge, MD, mother, Rosetta Brown of Hurlock, MD, mother-in-law, Tracy Ferguson of Keysville, VA, father-in-law, Theodore Ferguson, Jr. of Keysville, VA, bonus mother, Yvonne Jenkins of Hurlock, MD, children; Marie Jones, Joel Ferguson and Joshua Ferguson, siblings; David Brown Sr. (Brandee) of Preston, MD, NaDaniel Brown (Natalie) of Delmar, DE, Julia  Brown of Federalsburg, MD, Brandon Brown of Hurlock, MD and Caleb Brown (Jasmyn) of Hurlock, MD, three bonus sisters; Taneka Chandler (Darwin) of South Boston, VA, TyNita Cummings of Hurlock, MD, Sheniqua Fletcher of Cambridge, MD,  godbrothers; Jeremy Fletcher Sr. (Antonia) of Federalsburg, MD, Jeremiah Simms (Kia) of Cambridge, MD and Reginald McGlotten of DE, and godsisters; Veronica Brown (Keith) of Dover, DE, Lakesha Fletcher (Lawrence) of Federalsburg, MD, Lynette Webb of Easton, MD, Latrease Lawson of Federalsburg, MD, Genesis Roberts of Jacksonville, NC and Cheri Hunt of Dover, DE, godfather, Samuel Briddell of Salisbury, MD, godmothers; Linda Lake of Dover, DE and Jamesnetta McGlotten of Ellendale, DE, seven nephews, nine nieces, two great-nephews, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and church family.

Charity was preceded in death by her father, David J Brown Jr, grandparents, Ailene Dickerson and Frances Webb, uncle, Gregory Webb and sister, Sharday McGlotten.
