Anthony Lewis, a true native of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Born in Talbot County and Raised in Caroline County by his parents, Barbara Rich of Easton MD and late Dallas Edward Rich of Denton. Anthony, “Ressie” his nickname; was the second born out of six children.
Anthony received his education in Maryland Public Schools of Caroline County. After attended North Caroline High School, he decided to enroll in "Martial Arts" Classes. He became so good at it, that he began to help instruct the classes. Shortly thereafter, Anthony enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. Anthony began to travel and live a new life on the Islands of Hawaii. He lived there for many of years.
He gained a tremendous amount of friends and made them a part of his family, including a church family. Anthony was a very kind and generous loving person. He enjoyed studying the word of God and attending bible study classes. He loved to cook and eat. He also enjoyed hanging out with his friends and visiting family when he was able to. He was a motivated person, always ready to go and explore things. He was an outdoor person, loving nature.
Anthony returned home here in Maryland for a short period of time. In May of 2023, he attended Sunny Side Recovery as well as other outreach programs.
In addition to his father, Anthony was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Monroe Rich.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Rich of Easton, MD, brother, Dallas E. Lewis Sr., of Germany, sisters; Sandra Rich of Easton, Telesia Rich of Easton, MD, Carla Rich of Alabama, aunts; Hilda Wilson of Easton, Mary Wilson (Joe) of Denton MD; Yeteva Rich of New York, uncles; William Lewis; Marley Lewis (Diane); Gary Lewis all of Easton MD, nieces and nephews; Janika Batson (Shawn) of Easton MD, Dallas Lewis Jr. (Fernanda) of New Orleans, Teresa and Mirica Lewis of Germany, Lakesha, Shana, Tyler, Darnell Lewis all of Germany, Jawan Rich of Hebron, MD and Lamar Brooks of Easton, MD, great niece and nephew; Destiny, Shawn Batson Jr. of Easton MD, Jordan Brooks, Riley Brooks of Centreville, MD, and Kaden Waters of Seaford, DE, special friend, Lance Marshall of Baltimore MD, and a host of cousins and friends.
Forever remembering the throwback moments, we all shared with you on this Journey of Life. We wish that we could have enjoyed some of your fine moments on the Islands of Hawaii with you. Now the time has come, where we must depart to your eternal resting place. You will be sorrowfully missed and forever in our hearts.
