We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Bolden-Tilghman Mortuary Service
Allen Emmanuel Lake was born in Hurlock on September 23, 1953, to Shirley Lake- Caven and the late Frank Davis, Sr. The God of all grace called Allen Emmanuel Lake to his eternal Glory in Christ on May 24, 2022.
Allen, better known to many as Ricky, received his education from Dorchester County public schools. He graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1970.
Tracy Thompson was the love of his life. Allen and Tracy were married for twenty-one years; however, they bonded in an extended relationship many years prior to marriage.
When Allen became ill, Tracy was his primary caregiver, providing both physical and emotional support with strength, courage, dedication, and deep abiding faith.
Allen heard God speak to him during challenging times. Those words made Allen question: Where do I go to be in the presence of God, so Allen joined Bethel A.M.E Church in Cambridge, Maryland. His discipleship included membership in the Progressive Male Choir, Missionary Association, Usher Board, Trustee Board, and he served as an Armor Bearer. He started attending Hurlock United Methodist Church where his daughter and grandson were members. Soon he became an associate member and, in February, elected to become a full member of Hurlock United Methodist Church where he was an important part of the Willing Workers Food Ministry, voluntarily delivering food to the needy in the Dorchester County community, and a member of the United Methodist Men.
Allen was employed at Sea Watch International, Trappe Frozen Foods, Coldwater Packing Company, and Henry Funeral Home.
Allen enjoyed watching westerns, game shows, playing cards, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Tracy Lake, mother Shirley Lake –Caven (David) of Hurlock MD, two daughters; Telicia Waters of Seaford, DE and Donshirl Ricks of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Montwaine Twain Lake of Wilmington DE and Nikita Lake of Linkwood MD; grandchildren, Monisha Lake, Maquise Lake, Jalen Coverdale, Amir Lake, Tryniti Lake, Meah Lake, Te’Vion Waters and Ty’kee Williams and 14 great-grandchildren, three brothers; George Davis (Kesha), Travian Davis (Jennifer) and William Davis; two sisters, Dotty Davis Kellum (Ricky) and Arletta Pitt (Charles), one sister in-law, Regina Thompson; one great aunt, Emma Elliott, one uncle, Clinton Moses, one bonus son, Tybaron Walters-Ross; a bonus daughter, Tanisha Robinson and a goddaughter, Kenya Jones; special friends, Kevin Smith, Rev.
