Allan Jones Obituary

Allan M. Jones of Federalsburg, Md was born on April 28, 1949. He was the son of the late Jerry Lee Jones and the late Mary Emily Haynes Jones. Allan passed away at his Georgia home on January 12, 2021 at the age of 71.

Allan received his education in the Caroline County public school system. After receiving his education, he held various jobs. His exemplary leadership skills landed him a promotion and he became a supervisor at The Clam Factory in Bridgeville, DE. He also tried his hand at entrepreneurship and started his own business called Allan Jones Sanitation, Inc., This was an accomplishment that he was very proud of.

Allan was a man of many hobbies. As a lover of music, he played with various bands including the "Soul Wonders" and the "Vibratones". He was extremely talented and did not mind sharing his gift of singing, playing the drums and saxophone.  He also enjoyed going to the casino, telling stories, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family.  Allan was known to go above and beyond for his family, he would give the shirt off of his back to those he cared about.

In addition to his parents, Allan was preceded in death by his sister, Valerie Jones.

Allan leaves to cherish his memory his children; Derrick Jones, Sheila Dickerson, Shawne Bowens, Sr., Catina Simms, Terrell Jones, Sr., Alwanda Jones, Dortez Jones, 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, his siblings; Beverly Baker (John), Virginia Baker (Frank), Anna Dotson (Ivan), Miah “Raynell” Jones, Jerry Jones (Clara), Brenda Jones, special nephews, Chris Jones and Abdul Shaakir, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
