Alexander "Papa Bear" Little Obituary

Alexander “Papa Bear” Little

Alexander Little, affectionately known as Papa Bear, was a cherished soul in Preston, Maryland, who left us on November 4, 2025, at the age of 70, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 14, 1955, to the late Viola and James Little, Alex’s journey began in Talbot County Public Schools. He was married to his beloved wife, Rondallyn, for 48 years, a union that blessed them with five wonderful children.

In addition to his parents, James and Viola Little, Alex was preceded in death by his infant daughter Ashley Lenise Little, brother George Little, two sisters Joyce (Dolly) Little and his youngest sister Bonita Little, grandmother Pauline Griffin, uncle James Murray, two aunts Elizabeth Cook and Maisie Johns, sister-in-law Krisandra Harris, brother-in-law Barry Moaney, a niece, and many great uncles and aunts.

Papa Bear spent many years as a commercial truck driver, a job that took him on countless adventures. Even after retirement, he couldn’t sit still and worked at Auto Zone until his health began to decline. His heart was as big as his laugh, and he adored his family, music (especially Barry White and Earth, Wind, and Fire), and sharing stories from the past. He was a man who could light up a room by his presence and his infectious laughter.

His passion for classic cars, sports cars, Corvettes, and motorcycles was well-known, and he could often be found tinkering with one of his beloved machines. He made sure his vehicles were spotless, and if one happened to be dirty, you knew there was something up with Papa Bear. His life was a testament to love and joy, and he left behind a legacy of cherished memories for his family and friends.

Papa Bear is survived by his devoted wife, Rondallyn; his eldest son, Robert (Natasha) Moaney; his daughter, Dyzander McCoy, affectionately known as his Dollbaby; his son-in-law, Timothy McCoy, Sr., whom he lovingly referred to as his son; his three younger sons, Alex and Torrell Little of Preston, Maryland, and Amir Turner of Federalsburg, Maryland; his mother-in-law, Flossie Holland of Warner Robins, Georgia; his granddaughter, Ke’Asia (Keith) Elmore of Ridgely, Maryland; and six grandsons—Rhashean Moaney, Christian McCoy, Asantae Moaney, Timothy McCoy, Jr., Tim-Miracle McCoy, and Isaiah Washington.  Additionally, his seven adorable great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Levi, Trinity, Knovah, Keith III, Kaiser, and Knoelle.

He also leaves behind his sisters, Ruth Ann Murray of Preston, Maryland, and Elaine Copper of Easton, Maryland; his aunt, Ada Murray of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his brothers-in-law, Leroy (Laverne) Moaney, Sr. and Melvin Holland, Sr., both of Denton, MD; his sister-in-law, Tiffany (Warren) Wynns of Warner Robins, Georgia; a great-aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates.

Papa Bear’s memory lives on in the laughter and love he shared with everyone who knew him. May we hear an old song, see a spotless vehicle, hear a story of the past, or hear some loud and funny laughter; we will be reminded of his presence and the joy he brought to our hearts.
