Adelena Brown Obituary

Adelena Brown affectionately known as “Addy”, departed this life on May 7,2023 at Complete Care at Corsica Hills in Centreville MD. She was 82. She was born on May 30,1940 to the late Gladys and John Henry Brown.           


Adelena received her education in Queen Anne’s County at Kennard High School. She was employed at Conagra Food in Queenstown MD,  Salisbury Brothers in Ridgely MD and Vital Foods in Chestertown MD.             


Adelena had many friends that loved her dearly. She enjoyed spending her time at the Senior Center in Sudlersville (like it was her job!). She also enjoyed playing bingo, completing puzzles and ceramics, playing her numbers and buying her scratch offs, and eating crabs.


Adelena was preceded in death by three brothers; Floyd Brown, James Brown and John Brown,  two sisters, Betty Wilson and Rosa Chase and special friend, Wendell Bordley.


Adelena leaves behind to cherish her memories, two daughters, Christina Bordley (Clyde) and Virgina Baynard (Gregory), two sisters, Sarah Stinnett of Baltimore, MD and Verlena Wilson of North Carolina, a friend who was like a brother, Eugene Barrett, four grandchildren; Tranell Bordley, Lateebia Wright (Neil), Deron Jacobs (Kassie), and Koshontay Jacobs, nine great-grandchildren, Jamira, Mari, Brianna, Lawrence Jr., Jason, Cameron, Christopher, Mya and Kendrick (Kenny), her favorite niece, Trena Johnson,  close friends; Deleroes Dempsey, Esther Pritchett, Mary Smith, Margaret Thomas, Faye Kennedy, the staff of the Senior Center in Sudlersville and the Office of Aging driver staff  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
