Deante' Thurrell Cornish

Deante’ Thurrell Cornish, also affectionately known as Fox, Tae, or Uncle Tae Tae was born to Gwendolyn Cornish and the late Ronald Waller, transitioned on March 10, 2024, at the University of Maryland in Easton, MD at the age of 48.

Deante’ was born in Easton, MD on June 24, 1975. He graduated from North Dorchester High School in Hurlock, MD in 1993. He attended Sussex Tech in Georgetown DE and obtained his certification in accounting in 2003.

Deante worked at solo cup as a machine operator from 1993 to 1995. In 2004 he worked as a delivery driver for Neighbor Care and from 2005 to 2019 he worked as a field service technician for Columbia Vending and Sears.

One of Deante’s favorite sayings was “quit playing” and he loved to laugh and play around. He enjoyed shopping online, crab feasts, attending concerts, sports events, traveling, and watching wrestling events. Deante’ was a devoted uncle, godfather and son. He was also a big Washington Redskins (now Commanders) fan but also watched the Baltimore Ravens when he could.

Deante was a member of Hurlock United Methodist Church.

Deante leaves to mourn his mother, Gwendolyn Cornish, sister, Lanell Cornish, brother, Jamar Turner, nephews, Jailen Cornish, Jamar Turner, Jamari Turner, JaMai Turner, Takori Cornish, nieces, Lailah Townsend, JaMyia Turner, Summer Rose Turner, Tazarah Cornish, Jaiah Cornish-Sampson, goddaughter, Janae Williams, godson, Tamarri Cornish, god-granddaughter, Janylah, god sister, Yolanda Murray, special aunt, Jacqueline Cornish, close cousins; Deshon Cornish and Shalondra Cornish, favorite uncle, Larry “Dinky “ Waller, childhood friends, Arvel Johnson, Russell Simms Jr., Derrick Fisher, Ronnie Fisher, Lebrone Scott Sr., Cleon Dunnock and Adrian Jenkins Sr., Wayne Outlaw and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Deante was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Waller, grandmothers, Mary Rachel Thomas, Alice Waller, grandfathers, Henry Thomas, Leroy Rideout, Carroll Dockins, godparents, George and Annie Murray and close friends, Antwine Williams and Shawn Brice.
